| DEPTH: |
Diving depth on this cliff is from 20 to 40 m but the cliff goes down to maximum 90 m. |
| DIFFICULTY: |

From 30 to 50 m. crystal clean water |
| CURRENTS: |

| SPECIAL PERMITS: |
No special permits needed |
| TYPE OF DIVE: |
Cliff dive |
| RECOMMENDATION: |
One of the best Cliff dives you will ever find. Huge Gorgonia coral fans everywhere. One of though dives. |
DESCRIPTION OF THE DIVE
Alain's cliff is one of most famous cliff dives in Croatia and with the good reason. Start the dive on a plato which is around 5 to 9 m depth swimming in the direction of open sea. You come to the end of plato which finishes with direct drop off from 8 m down to a 90 m. This is probably the closest feeling to flaying you will ever experience, the magic of this cliff is visibility. It is so crystal clear that you can in fact see almost entire cliff in one glance, from surface to the bottom. It can take your breath a way. When you come on the depth between 20 and 40 m, depending on your experience and diving category, balance your buoyancy nicely. On one place cliff breaks and makes a vertical canyon full of caves and gorgonia coral fans. Usually on this place there is a school of different bigger fish. During entire length of the cliff there are clouds of small fish all around. After some swimming cliff brakes again and goes directly toward near by island V. Smokvica. This is the place where current is usually strongest. Once you pass the curve currant suddenly stops. Just by following the cliff which gradually goes in to s small bay on the island all the way up to 5 m depth.
TIPS & TRICKS
Wach out for your depth, visibility is so good in some periods that it can trick you in going too deep. Take extra time to adjust your equipment still on the dive boat, so once you jump in the sea you are ready for the dive. If the currant is strong get as close to the cliff as possible and watch out for your breathing rate. V. Smokvica, in translation Big fig, was a restricted military island until recently so the life around it is still not affected by people too much.
POSSIBLE TO SEE
Scorpion fish, moray eels, octopuses, different corals, colorful algae, schools of fish, spiny lobster, forkbeards, red mullets, lots of cracks and holes to peak in to, on occasion bigger fish.

Cave dive |
| RECOMMENDATION: |
Fantastic cave for recreational divers, 100% safe |
DESCRIPTION OF THE DIVE
This cave is really a tunnel through small peninsula, you enter it on one and exit on the opposite side. Entire tunnel is around 25 m long and 5 m. wide in all directions so there is no possibility of getting stuck or loosing your way in some small channel. Dive starts right next to shore which falls down sharply to 10 m. As you start the dive you first enter a crack in the coast line which is around 10 m wide on the entrance and 2 m. wide on the end. After you pas through crack you are back on the entrance and continue around the curve where you come in to a cave. Entrance is cool because of the vision trick sunlight makes, it looks entirely black and you feel like you are going to hit the wall until you go through the shadow. Suddenly you can see the beautiful tirkiz color of the sea through entire cave. when you exit the cave you make a small round trip between some interesting rocks and than back through the cave toward the dive boat.
TIPS & TRICKS
This dive is fun for all divers but is especially good for first encounter whit the cave dive. Lots of nudi brends, octopuses and different schools of fish.
POSSIBLE TO SEE
Scorpion fish, octopuses, different corals, colorful algae, schools of fish, forkbeards, lots of cracks and holes to peak in to, on occasion bigger fish, fantastic colors.

Eco dive |
| RECOMMENDATION: |
This is definitely the dive with biggest variety of all kinds of spaces especially during the night dive |
DESCRIPTION OF THE DIVE
Eco dive is a shallow dive around the island Kalebinjak in front of village Rogoznica. Dive starts usually on west side of the island and goes counter clockwise around the island. East side of the island is the most interesting. There are huge constellations of funny looking rocks between which you can glide carried by the current. Under each rock you will see something move. Different schools of small fish are everywhere. As you round the island you will be back under the dive boat.
TIPS & TRICKS
This is the dive which is a product of cooperation between Marine biology faculty and Diving Center Pongo. With this project we mead an underwater botanical garden to influence divers in learning more about ecology and diving species. During the dive you will be able to see different boards with descriptions about some species. Definitely the dive you should not miss. Just go slowly and enjoy yourself.

| TYPE OF DIVE: |
Cliff dive |
| RECOMMENDATION: |
Great cliff |
DESCRIPTION OF THE DIVE
Gorgonia cliff is located on the same island as Alain's cliff but is very different. The dive starts on the south- east part of the island on just 5m depth. After a short swim toward the south side of the island you will come on the first ''step'' from 7 to 15 m. and than on the cliff which starts with the vertical canyon From there on rocks form shelf's with the cuts underneath where you can peek in and in some, even enter entirely. In one moment, you will come over the big Gorgonia fans which expend on entire height of the cliff ... a great view. It depends on the strength of the current on which point of the dive will the dive guide turn around and head back toward the dive boat. Entire dive follows the shape of the island V.Smokvica (translation: Big fig) so it's not hard to orientate.
TIPS & TRICKS
Diving centers in the area sometimes make drift dives on this location which proves how strong the current can be. Usually under 20 m. there is no current but as you reduce the depth suddenly current starts pulling you in the opposite direction. Trick is to empty your jacket and go as close to the bottom as possible so you are protected from the currant from the surrounding rocks. There are also plenty of smaller rocks to hold on to.
POSSIBLE TO SEE
Scorpion fish, moray eels, octopuses, different corals, colorful algae, schools of fish, spiny lobster, forkbeards, red mullets, lots of cracks and holes to peak in to, on occasion bigger fish.

| CURRENTS: |

| SPECIAL PERMITS: |

| TYPE OF DIVE: |
Cliff and wreckage |
| RECOMMENDATION: |
Interesting dive for all divers, lots of different life |
DESCRIPTION OF THE DIVE
On Grbavac there is a possibility of making three different interesting dives. One of the most interesting ones is a combination of a cliff and wreck dive. You start your dive just on few meters under the dive boat and gradually come to the cliff full of small caves and cracks. Here is a possibility of seeing lots of lobsters and a few moray eels. After the cliff there is a small reef which comes from the deep all the way up to 5 m. depth. You should maintain depth down to 20 m. as you go around the reef and you will come over the wreckage of one ship. This ship was most probably transporting coal and today this coal covers a big peace of the bottom from which different parts of the wrack are still visible. This wrack is nothing special but there is a lots of interesting life hiding in almost every whole.
TIPS & TRICKS
This dive is a little bit tricky in orientation as you change your direction many times. Also the reef which goes directly in the opposite side of the island contributes to the confusion, so ask the dive guide to describe the dive before jumping in the sea.
POSSIBLE TO SEE
Scorpion fish, moray eels, octopuses, different corals, colorful algae, schools of fish, spiny lobster, forkbeards, rays, lots of cracks and holes to peak in to, on occasion bigger fish.

Cliff dive |
| RECOMMENDATION: |
Colorful cliff with a cave and a canyon specially attractive because of vertical drop off |
DESCRIPTION OF THE DIVE
In the middle of the sea there is a big underwater reef which comes up to 5 m. depth. On the southwest side, where you start the dive, is a vertical cliff. As you descend down you will come on to a cave on around 32 m. depth. The cave is big enough for one diver to enter but diving guides do not allow it because of big risk that you will damage the walls covered in different colorful corals. Usually inside of the cave there is few spiny lobster whose red white moustache you can see on the ceiling of the cave. As you continue the dive you will come on the biggest part of the cliff with orange gorgonia fans and lots of life on and around it. Than suddenly cliff breaks right and you come on a deep crack in the stone almost wide enough for a diver to enter. This crack is usually a hide out for bigger fish. As you come on the top of the cliff on 19 m. depth, bottom gradually goes toward the top of entire reef up to 5 m. On the top of the reef there is a plateau with interesting stones and lots of life surrounding them, especially octopuses, nudibranchs, snails and golden zoanthids.
TIPS & TRICKS
Watch out for the current as you swim on your way back toward the top of the reef . If you peek in to cracks be sure there is no moray eels or congers inside. Next to the cliff on around 45 m. dept there is a wreckage of a working platform looking like an arrow. Platform is around 40 m length, 17 m. width and 5 m. height.
POSSIBLE TO SEE
Scorpion fish, octopuses, different corals, colorful algae, schools of fish, cat sharks, spiny lobster, nudibranchs, snails and golden zoanthids, lots of cracks and holes to peak in to.

On Mulo dive current is usually there. If diving leader knows the dive he can start it in relatively calm sea. There are two dives you can do without changing boat location. Both dives start from few meters depth between big rocks which form small channels. As you go on you will pass over few steps, each few meters height, until around 20 m when you come on the top of the 20 m cliff full of life. Cliff is entirely covered with different organisms in beautiful colors. There are lots of holes and cracks where you can see moray eels, congers and lots of octopuses. First dive goes down to 30 meters on the cliff and back toward the boat. Second dive is shallower and goes all around the island Mulo.
TIPS & TRICKS
Current on this dive is always there and it can be really strong. Do not go wondering away from the dive leader, for if you miss the turn back point current can take you and than it will be a problem swimming back. On this small island there is Austro-Hungarian Light house built in 1873 looking really great. Today this light house is fully automatic, but in the old times there was a family living on it all year long. Watch out for fishing nets.

This is a fun dive. Cliff starts immediately on the beginning of the dive and goes down to 24 m. Entire cliff goes inwards so it forms kind of a open cave through which you can swim. Lots of orange gorgonoa fans and different fish. Than cliff goes back up to 15 m and connects directly to the island Muljiuca. But after few minutes you see another cliff on your opposite side. This is the stone reef which comes from the opposite side of the island. You switch the cliffs and follow the reef. In one moment there is a small canyon through which you come back on the first cliff and than back toward the dive boat. It sounds complicated but is really safe and fun dive.
